Led by the Engagement Team at UCL Culture, the Beacon Bursary Funding Scheme aims to advance the practice and culture of public and community engagement within UCL. Beacon Bursaries fund public engagement projects that enhance staff and postgraduate research students’ skills, activity and understanding of public engagement, enabling them to work with public groups to create knowledge and support meaningful change.

We welcome applications for funding of up to £2,000 from UCL academic and professional services staff, as well as postgraduate research students. The deadline for applications is Monday 7 October 2019 at 12pm (midday).

We encourage you to talk to a member of the Engagement Team before submitting your application. We’re also hosting a number of drop-in sessions in August and September 2019 for people interested in applying to the scheme to talk with a member of the team face-to-face.

You can find full details on the scheme and learn more about previously funded projects on the UCL Culture website.
