Pint of Science Festival (14-16 May)

8 May 2018

Pint of Science - a three-day global event - brings some of the most brilliant scientists to your local pub to discuss their latest research and findings.

Pint of Science Festival

This year's event will run from 14-16 May 2018, bringing together the public, researchers and pubs. The festival spans a range of topics, from gene editing to the fundamentals of the universe.

UCL researchers have organised a set of events this year, promoting UCL research to the public. UCL will present subjects including:

  • How we can predict future epidemics
  • Why we should all love wasps
  • How your immune system could be contributing to heart disease
  • What augmented reality means for surgery
  • How materials can react to their world and could revolutionise our way of life

Each night hosts new speakers who are active in their research area, as well as activities including quizzes, games and interactive exhibits, all over a couple of pints in pubs all across London.

The events are open to all UCL students, staff and the general public. Tickets are £4 each - and are selling fast!
