Online study about decision-making - participants needed

1 March 2018

In conjunction with Kingston University, researchers from the UCL Experimental Psychology Department are conducting a study investigating how people think and feel about uncertain events.

Choices

Uncertainty is an ubiquitous part of our daily lives. One is confronted with both mundane and consequential decisions on the basis of uncertain information, ranging from whether to take an umbrella to work, to deciding whether to take a life-saving drug.

Who is it for?

The study is open to all aged 18+, regardless of native language or nationality.

What will it involve?

In this online study, you will be asked to read four scenarios describing loss-loss situations (i.e. no matter what the choice, there will be a negative outcome). You will be asked to make a series of judgements about these scenarios.  The study should take no longer than 25 minutes to complete. Participation is entirely voluntary.
