MSc student to run 7 marathons in 7 days in aid of Grenfell Tower survivors - come along and support him!

24 October 2017

An MSc student who has never run a full marathon before is running 7 in 7 days to raise £50,000 to establish a UCL scholarship for children living in North Kensington.

Kasimweb

Kasim Ali, who is studying for an MSc in Global Prosperity and who is also a community leader based in Kensington and Chelsea, lives just 500 metres from Grenfell Tower.

He says: 'That night I saw a lot of unimaginable but preventable human suffering. I will never forget what I saw and heard on that horrible night. My support for the Grenfell survivors started in the early hours of Wednesday 14 June 2017 and has continued ever since'.

Kasim will start at Manchester United's Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester and run via Grenfell Tower to finish at UCL. He is appealing for supporters to join him at any stage of the route, and for as many people as possible to run or walk the last four miles of the route with him, from Grenfell Tower to UCL.

If you would like to run or walk the last 4 miles with Kasim please come to Grenfell Road (W10 6EX), opposite the Kensington Leisure Centre, at 3pm on Friday 3 November.

For details of how to donate to Baraka Community Association, which is supporting the survivors of Grenfell, please visit Kasim's fundraising page.
