Confirm your module selections to help us get the exam timetable out earlier

17 October 2017

UCL has introduced a strict module confirmation deadline of 6 December 2017 to make it possible to release the 2018 exam timetable at an earlier date.

This means that by 6 December, in discussion with your department, you need to:

•    finalise any changes to your choices
•    check that your modules are correct for second term.

The exam timetable will be based on the module selections that you are registered for, so it is crucial that your record on Portico is accurate.

In the week starting 20 November, you will receive an email asking you to log into Portico and confirm your module choices for 2017-18 academic year. If any of your modules are not correctly registered, you have until 6 December to complete the task.  The 6 December deadline gives your department(s) sufficient time to verify first term and second term modules by 15 December, after which Academic Services will start to prepare the exam timetable for publication.

Earlier publication of the timetable has been a priority of UCL and the Students' Union for several years. However, before any work to prepare the exam timetable can begin, module selection across UCL must be completed. If your module registrations are not correctly listed, your examination timetable will not show the correct information when it is published.
