Healthcare scheme - opening of medical history disregarded window

9 November 2017

UCL has a private healthcare scheme, provided by AXA PPP healthcare.

Quad This scheme offers employees the choice of four different healthcare plans, with different excess levels to help manage their subscription.

One of the main benefits of the scheme is that new employees have the option of taking out a healthcare plan with a medical history disregarded underwriting term. This means that any pre-existing conditions that employees may have had before joining the scheme are covered (subject to terms and conditions).

AXA PPP has also offered UCL staff another limited opportunity to join their  plans on a Medical History Disregarded basis from 13 November 2017 until the end of January 2018. To support this a representative from AXA will be at UCL on 13 November from 12-2pm in the South Wing G14 Committee Room to answer any questions about the plans.

For more information please visit the AXA PPP website or call AXA PPP healthcare directly on 0800 0321 950, quoting reference 96369.

This and UCL's wider benefit provision are detailed on the HR website. UCL is looking to expand its list of benefits and will introduce a system to purchase additional annual leave (up to 10 days with line manager approval) once the new HR system is implemented. More details will follow in due course but please contact Mark Rice if you have any questions around UCL's benefit provision.
