First year undergraduates: apply for a prestigious Laidlaw Research and Leadership scholarship

22 November 2017

Launched in 2016, the three-year scholarship for undergraduate students runs alongside your academic studies (with most activity taking place in the summers).

Bartlett students

25 first year students get the opportunity to join the scheme each year and entry is competitive, based on academic merit and leadership potential.

The programme involves:

  • Two six-week summer research periods working alongside UCL academics.  You'll receive a generous bursary to cover your accommodation and living costs
  • Tailored leadership training events throughout the year
  • Opportunities to put leadership skills into practice through advocacy, mentoring and project management

If you're ambitious, then this is the perfect opportunity for you to get direct experience of research and leadership.

Applications are open Monday 27 November 2017 - Sunday 28 January 2018.
