Student Reception Assistants needed for summer 2017: apply now

During the summer vacation, many of the Student Residences run as hotels, taking short term lets, and are operational during the weekends and evenings.

UCL Accommodation would like to recruit a number of Reception Assistants (up to 26) to assist in their operations this summer.

Main duties involve providing a reception and housekeeping service to the guests and students. This mostly entails responding to enquiries in person and over the telephone; checking in students and guests; receiving and distributing deliveries and post; giving out and checking housekeeping tasks and logging and checking maintenance jobs.

The posts are funded from the 12 June until the 24 September 2017, and there is a mandatory training day on the 12 and 13 June.

Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to show initiative and take responsibility and be committed to a high level of customer care and service provision. Computer competence is essential, and previous experience in a student accommodation or hotel environment is desirable.

The hourly rate of pay is £10.30 per hour, the closing date is the 24 May 2017 and the Interview date is the 31 May
