Do you need help to lose weight?

Take part in a research project that will test Top Tips, a weight loss app that was developed by researchers at University College London in collaboration with the charity Weight Concern.

The Top Tips app which is free, is based on the latest research and aims to help people develop healthy habits and lose weight.

Knowing more about the impact of the app and how people use it, will provide valuable information about the skills people use to control their eating, and could help develop new approaches to supporting people in losing weight. We would be very grateful for your contribution to this research.

What's in it for me?

  • It aims to help you form healthy habits and lose weight
  • You will be given an opportunity to enter a draw to win a £20 voucher.

Who?

  • Be aged 18 years old or older 
  • Read English fluently
  • Live in the UK
  • Have an Android smartphone
  • Have a BMI 30 or over (Check your BMI).

What?

  • Start any time from January 2017
  • Delivered to you via your mobile smartphone
  • Requires you to use the app for 3 months
  • Requires no more than 10 min per day of your time, and this can be done at a time that suits you
  • Answers will be anonymized and it will not be possible to identify you from them
  • You will be asked to fill in two questionnaires; one at the start and one at the end of the study.
