allies campaign on Monday 27 February at 5:30pm in the Main Quad Pavilion,
with an introduction by the UCL President and Provost, Professor Michael
Arthur.
Allies have of course been historically important to the LGBTQ+ community and
continue to be so.
The Friends of Out@UCL allies campaign seeks
to encourage all UCL staff and students to visibly signal their support for the LGBTQ+
community through a number of practical and effective ways.
Staff also have the opportunity to attend ally training. It is hoped that the active support of allies will lead to a more inclusive and welcoming environment where all
LGBTQ+ staff and students are free to be themselves.
Attendees of the launch event will take part in an interactive training session, encouraging self-reflection on their own actions as LGBTQ+ allies, followed by a drinks
reception.
