Gower Place Practice to relocate and change name

On 18 April 2016, the Gower Place Practice will move from its current location at the UCL Health Centre on 3 Gower Place to a new premises on 8 Ridgmount Street.

The surgery will also be known as the Ridgmount Practice.

The new address will be: Ridgmount Practice, 8 Ridgmount Street, London, WC1E 7AA. The telephone number and email address will remain the same: 020 7387 6306, gpp@nhs.net.

Why does the surgery need to move?
The building at the UCL Health Centre will be used for educational space.

What are the benefits of moving to a new premises?
Our new premises has been designed with patients and staff in mind. We have additional consulting rooms, a larger waiting room and a private room for patients to speak confidentially to our reception team. It is more comfortable and efficient for both patients and staff. Our new premises will meet NHS requirements.

What do these changes mean to me? 
There is no change to the organisation or character of our GP surgery. We will offer the same service from the new premises where the facilities are better. All the staff and systems will remain the same.

Do I have to move with the practice to the new premises? 
There will be no GP surgery at 3 Gower Place. We do hope you will be happy to move with us. If you would like to remain with us, you do not need to do anything and it will automatically happen. You have the choice to remain or to transfer to another practice.

Will there be any change in the relationship with UCL?
Our relationship with UCL will remain unchanged.

Will I still be able to see my usual doctor/nurse?
Yes. All our doctors and nurses will be available at our new premises.

Will walk-in-surgery and appointment systems change? 
Walk-in-surgery and appointment systems will remain the same.

Are there any new services provided at the new premises? 
Our new premises will give us the potential to expand our range of services.

Is there disabled access at the new premises? 
All patient areas of the new the new premises will be fully accessible to patients with mobility requirements.
