2 March 2016

Do you want to gain experience in managing large data sets? Do you want the opportunity to work with London's charities and not-for-profits on real-life projects? Get work experience, and support, through short placements facilitated by

UCLU Volunteering statistics network org/services/volunteering-at-uclu" target="_self">UCLU Volunteering Services Unit and the Connected Curriculum initiative.

What is it?

We are offering five students the opportunity to undertake short, statistic-based placements with local voluntary organisations. Students will also be supported by a UCL academic who will enable them to make the most out of their experience.

The network is a joint enterprise of UCLU Volunteering Services Unit, which accommodates voluntary placements for UCL students, and the Connected Curriculum initiative which promotes research-based education, including opportunities for workplace learning.

What you gain

You'll be bringing your subject knowledge and your skills to contribute to real world projects while learning valuable workplace skills. Not only will you build your CV, but you will be supported during your project by a member of staff.

Who can apply

Any students who are studying statistics as part of their course and want to apply that knowledge on a practical project with a real impact.
