UCL International Student Orientation Programme (ISOP): online induction

The UCL International Student Support Team have recently launched an

ucl.ac.uk/iss/orientation/onlineinduction">online ISOP section on the International Student Support webpages for international students who are unable to attend the International Student Orientation Programme (ISOP) or for those who have attended but wish to revisit anything from the session.

The online ISOP resources may be useful for staff to look over in preparation for the start of term, to refer to in your own departmental inductions, or to share with students as required throughout the year.

The online ISOP features:

• Information about British culture and living in London
• Advice on academic life
• Video and interviews with current UCL students including their experience of settling in, challenges when first arriving and UCL's approach to learning and teaching
• Information for affiliate students
• Support and wellbeing
• Social events
• UCLU

Staff resources page

We have added to our staff resources for student inductions page where we have posted a series of videos and short films, including the Student Support and Wellbeing video, Personal Safety video and the Settling in at UCL video. These video resources are relevant for all new students - not just international students - so please feel free to share them with your students.
