Participants needed for research investigating parenting styles in different ethnicities, body perception and eating attitudes

Females aged 18-25 years of age from a Chinese-British, White-British or Chinese background are invited to take part in a survey investigating parenting styles in different ethnicities, body perception and eating attitudes.

The research is  being conducted as part of an MSc research project by Natalie Lam, which has ethical approval from UCL and is supervised by Dr. Julie Evans from the Faculty of Brain Sciences.

What will taking part involve?

You will be asked to complete some online questionnaires on the following areas:

  • Your attitudes towards eating
  • How do you feel about your body shape
  • Your relationship with your parents

This research is being carried out in accordance with the United Kingdom Data Protection Act 1998, and was approved by the UCL Ethics Committee (6737/001). Any information obtained in this study will remain absolutely confidential and it will not be possible to identify any of the participants, and will be used for research purpose only. You may choose at any time to withdraw from the survey.  Your help is much appreciated.
