Calling all final year undergraduates: please check your inbox for an email about the 2015 National Student Survey

13 February 2015

This week, Lukmaan Kolia, Education and Campaigns Officer, UCLU and Professor Anthony Smith, Vice-Provost (Education and Student Affairs) emailed final year undergraduates to encourage you to participate in the 2015 National Student Survey - the biggest student survey in the world.

Lukmaan Kolia, UCLU

The NSS gives students the opportunity to have their say on what they liked and didn't like about their experience at UCL. Responses are anonymised.

You can fill it out now at: http://www.thestudentsurvey.com/.

As a result of having NSS results and other student feedback mechanisms, UCL and UCLU have worked together in recent years to achieve:

  • universal standards on providing assessment feedback to students
  • extended library opening hours
  • internet access in all student residences
  • local change in departments and faculties to address specific concerns

Please note:

  • In some cases, students, particularly on programmes with a three or four year option or those who have interrupted their studies, may be surveyed in their penultimate year. As a rule, students are not invited to complete the NSS more than once. If you are in your penultimate year and are invited to take part, please do so now as you may not be asked again.
  • If you do not wish to participate, please visit the NSS website in order to opt-out and ensure that you are no longer contacted: thestudentsurvey@ipsos.com.
