Participants needed for a social experiment at UCL

30 October 2014

What will it involve? Are you bored of just filling questionnaires or simply making choices on a computer screen? Would you like to take part in a social experiment instead and of course, get paid for it? If yes, then we would like to invite you to take part in our study which will no doubt involve some questionnaires, but the important bit is us observing two of you while you engage in certain communicative tasks with each other.

If you are studying at UCL, then this is a great opportunity to earn something during term time, and to help our research project. You will not have to do anything unpleasant or painful, and the study does not involve any physical investigations of any type.

Payment and duration

The experiment should last up between 30 and 45 minutes. First year psychology students will receive 0.5 to 0.75 credits for this study, while others will be paid £ 3.00-4.50 for their time.

Inclusion Criteria

To participate in the present research you must be in good health, 18-35 years old, speak English fluently, have normal or corrected to normal vision, not using any recreational drugs and have no history of mental illness.

To participate

If you fulfil the inclusion criteria and would like to arrange a time to take part in this study, please email me (sankalp.bhatnagar.13@ucl.ac.uk with your FULL NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS, and PHONE NUMBER.

I will then contact you to briefly confirm some information and answer any questions you may have regarding the study before registering you for the experiment.

You will finally receive an invitation email containing details about the agreed time and location (UCL, 26 BEDFORD WAY, LONDON, WC1H 0DS), which you must bring along with your photo ID.

If you know anyone (colleagues, managers, friends and family) who may be interested in participating in this study, please feel free to share this email with them.
