Desktop@UCL is here - are you ready?

A reminder that the Desktop service is changing to Desktop@UCL for the new academic year.

 The rollout into all Learning and Teaching Spaces is near completion, all ISD Managed Cluster Rooms, Halls of Residences and Lecture Theatres will be on Desktop@UCL by 23/09/13. The rollout schedule is available at:  https://www.ucl.ac.uk/isd/community/projects/ucl-desktop/summer_rollout

Accessing applications

All learning and teaching applications for Term 1 are in the process of being released and will be available by 23/09/13. Please refer to the list of released applications at: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/isd/common/ucldesktop/apps_available_desktopPC.

Access to all applications formerly available on the cluster and lecture theatre desktop service (Myriad) will also be accessible through the new Desktop@ucl service to ensure all learning and teaching applications are available for the new academic year. For any queries related to applications, please contact the project team (ucldesktop@ucl.ac.uk)

The DMS Watson Library is one of the last areas to be converted to Desktop@UCL and some Myriad computers are available if any student needs to access an application that is not yet released on the Desktop@UCL, until 23/09/13.  If students are unable to access the Myriad computers in the DMS Watson Library, please contact the project team who can assist you (ucldesktop@ucl.ac.uk)

Trial Desktop@UCL and Drop in Training sessions

Drop in sessions are available to help you get started on the Desktop@UCL. There is no need to book.

1st October - 13:00-14:00, Medawar G01 Lankester Lecture Theatre
