UCL Language Centre summer term evening courses: foreign languages

The UCL Language Centre is offering a range of courses throughout the summer term.

UCL language centre Courses can be booked until Friday 30 March at 5pm.
  • Arabic (Modern Standard)
  • Dutch
  • French
  • German
  • Greek (Modern)
  • Hebrew
  • Icelandic
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Latin
  • Mandarin
  • Norwegian
  • Portuguese (Brazilian)
  • Spanish
  • Swedish
  • Turkish

Classes are for two hours (5pm to 7pm or 7pm to 9pm) per week over the summer term (10 weeks).

A provisional class list is available on our website.

  • Fees for UCL Staff: £190 for 10 weeks.
  • Fees for UCL Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students: £140 for 10 weeks.

You can apply online on the UCL Language Centre website. A short assessment interview will be required to establish your level unless you are an absolute beginner, or have recently attended a course with us. Please check our website for further details of our assessment process.

Participants are able to use our Self-Access Centre (SAC). The SAC provides comprehensive facilities for self-study. Facilities include an on-line, DVD and VHS video library, satellite television, a language laboratory, CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning), resource books, journals and newspapers. It is open from 8am to 10pm weekdays and from 10am to 5pm on Saturdays.
