Library open forum

As part of the arrangements agreed by UCL Library Committee for facilitating greater transparency and communication about Library matters within UCL, there will be a Library open forum on Wednesday 28 March from 2pm-3.
The Forum will
involve a series of presentations by Library Services colleagues on strategic
challenges and developments affecting the UCL Library and the delivery of
services to its staff and student stakeholders.
There will be a brief opportunity to ask questions after each presentation, and the afternoon will conclude with an Open Forum for general questions and answers.
The schedule for the afternoon will be as follows:
- 2.05pm - Welcome and introduction: Professor David Price, Vice-Provost (Research) and Chair of UCL Library Committee
- 2.10pm - Challenges and opportunities for Library Services, 2012-13: Dr Paul Ayris, Director of UCL Library Services and UCL Copyright Officer.
- 2.20pm - The Cruciform Hub: Ben Meunier, Assistant Librarian (Building Projects) and Kate Cheney, Joint Academic Support Manager, Biomedicine.
- 2.40pm - Enriching the Student Experience with readinglists@ucl: June Hedges, Co-ordinator, Teaching & Learning Support Section
- 2.55pm - New developments in e-publishing in UCL Library Services: Martin Moyle, Group Manager, IT Services
- 3.05pm - Open Forum: general questions and answers
- 3.20pm - Close
