UCL International Teaching Excellence Bursaries

20 June 2012

Over the next five years, UCL aims to expand its profile as an internationally recognised centre of teaching excellence.

A key aspect of achieving this aim is to increase international teaching and learning exchanges that advance collaborative innovations and deepen strategic links with overseas partners.

In this context, an ambitious scheme of UCL International Teaching Excellence Bursaries has been launched, which contribute to the travel, accommodation and subsistence costs of focused, short-term teaching and learning visits overseas. Applications are now being accepted. The deadline for applications is 1 July 2012.

Purpose

• To foster teaching and learning collaborations between UCL and universities overseas which strengthen strategic relations

• To support the collaborative development of innovative teaching and learning resources that will be shared within the wider UCL community

Value and duration

For an average visit normally a maximum of £2,500 per participant will be awarded. Typically, visits will be for two working weeks, but longer or shorter visits will be considered.
