Diversity Month 2012

5 January 2012

Throughout February, there is an exciting programme of events taking place to celebrate diversity at UCL and examine the ongoing and evolving challenges some groups face in education, work, health and the wider society.

This year's theme is UCL's Grand Challenge of Human Wellbeing.

Events include:

  • Panel discussion: 'Gay men and the body beautiful'
  • Lecture: 'What makes Muslims sick and (why) does it matter?'
  • Lecture: 'Is it worse to be young now, than in the swinging 60s?'
  • Lecture: 'Alan Turing, a broken heart and the invention of the computer'
  • Lecture: 'Lay beliefs and stigma: how different communities respond to mental illness and intellectual disabilities'
  • Lecture: 'Why do people believe?'
  • Evening talk: 'Global women's rights: a journey'

Events are free and open to all. For the full programme and to register visit the UCL Equalities and Diversity website.
