UCLU Charity Concert and Winter Market

11 November 2011

The UCLU Charity Concert and Winter Market in the Quad will take place on Tuesday 6 December.

UCLY charity concert As in recent years, the Winter Market stalls in the main Quad and North Cloisters will be open between 1-8pm offering everything from stocking fillers to real Christmas trees. It's a great opportunity to get some of your festive presents over and done with!

Workshops for children will run in the North Cloisters from 4pm-5.30pm including face painting, card and cake decorating and lots more. The Charity Concert will start at 5.30pm in the main Quad with the Christmas tree lights switched on by the Dean of Students (Welfare). Santa will also be on hand to meet your little ones and give them their present in his Grotto!

Some of the Union's societies and children from local schools will be performing until 8pm to keep you entertained and we'll have mulled wine and mince pies from one of the central stalls to keep you warm!

This year the concert is raising money for Centrepoint, a charity which helps to tackle child homelessness in the UK. So feel generous, get an extra glass of mulled wine or buy a Santa's hat, all donations are for Centrepoint.

We hope to see you there with your friends and family!
