Scientists make step towards using brain scans to predict outcome of psychotic episodes

Source: Wellcome Trust Press Release A recently published collaborative study, involving researchers from UCL Computer Science and King's College London, finds that computer analysis of MRI brain scans could help psychiatrists predict how psychotic patients may fare over the course of their illness.

Dr Mourao-Miranda, and colleagues from UCL Computer Science, developed models and analytical tools that enabled the individualised predictions, while the clinical side of the study was led by Dr Paola Dazzan and her team at King's College London. Read: Wellcome Trust press release
