Workshops: identifying and managing student mental ill-health

UCL Student Psychological Services are running workshops over the summer to help staff recognise and manage the symptoms of psychological distress and illness amongst their students.

Identifying and Managing Student Mental Ill-Health, is a workshop facilitated by the Dean of Students (Welfare). It aims to assist staff to do the following:

  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of psychological distress and illness amongst the students they meet every day
  • Identify how best to respond to such students
  • Learn what support is available at UCL for both staff and students.

The workshop will be run twice during the summer. On Wednesday, 22 June and Wednesday, 20 July 2011. Each workshop will start at 1:30pm and end at 4:30pm.and will take place in Anatomy B15. The sessions cost £50 to attend.
