Congratulations to Matteo Carandini (UCL Institute of Ophthalmology ), Dimitri Kullmann (UCL Institute of Neurology) and Christiana Ruhrberg (UCL Institute of Ophthalmology), UCL neuroscientists to be the first recipients of Wellcome Trust's Investigator Awards.

The awards, totalling £56 million, are specifically to fund exceptional researchers addressing the most important questions about health and disease, and were presented to 27 investigators from the UK and Brazil.
