UCL membership of Santander universities: benefits to staff

Mr Abbas Al-Mamouri the manager of our university Santander Branch at 164-167 Tottenham Court Road, will be on-site in the courtyard outside the Print Room Cafe (pictured) from 10am to 2pm. There is a strong student focus to the generous sponsorship that Santander Universities provides to UCL. This includes scholarships to study Masters programmes here, awards recognising outstanding personal achievement, support for entrepreneurship and funding to enable UCL students to study abroad. Over and above the financial sponsorship, membership opens up fantastic opportunities for some of our students - a number of UCL scholarship holders were recently invited to meet Jensen Button and Lewis Hamilton ahead of the British Grand Prix.

The sponsorship supports UCL staff too. By way of example, a new series of 'Catalyst Awards', funded by Santander Universities, aimed at encouraging the development of new research or teaching partnerships will shortly be launched by my office.
