Students sleep rough for Action for Brazil's Children
18 February 2011
A group of UCL students joined volunteers from other London universities to sleep rough for a night to raise money for Action for Brazil's Children (ABC) Trust.

The charity provides health and legal services for street children and vulnerable young people in Brazil. As part of the 12-hour sponsored sleep-out on the floor of Spitalfields Market, the volunteers were challenged to build a mini-'cardboard city' and had the opportunity to try Brazilian capoeira.
UCL volunteer Tom Hallam, a second-year Geography student said, 'I heard about it from a friend, Hannah, who's also stewarding tonight. And, really, I just wanted to give something back.'
