UCL Open Day 2011

The annual UCL Open Day took place on the 30 June 2011.

UCL open day This event is aimed at undergraduate student recruitment and attracted over 7,000 visitors who will be making their UCAS choices this autumn.

The Open Day gave departments an opportunity to showcase their degree programmes and facilities -offering talks, taster lectures, guided tours and hands-on activities.

The feedback from the event has been very positive. Visitors left with an 'excellent impression of UCL' and found the academics and student stewards 'particularly helpful, informative and welcoming'.

For those unable to attend the event, UCL will be launching a Virtual Open Day website. It will include audio recordings of some of the talks, copies of relevant presentations, information videos and links to departmental information webpages.

Caroline Fionda (UCL Outreach) said: "We would like to thank all members of staff who participated in the event and who helped make it such a success. We look forward to working with colleagues again during the coming year both at next year's Open Day event and on other outreach activities."
