    • The UCL International Office is hosting its annual Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday 2 November.

    The fair is aimed at students from non-language degrees who are interested in the Study Abroad programme, or who are already studying abroad as part of their undergraduate degree.

    Attendees will have a chance to talk to returning students about their experiences, as well as meeting students from overseas institutions who are currently studying at UCL.

    Anthony Grout (UCL International Office) explained: "Studying abroad offers exposure to a different cultural and academic environment. Spending a prolonged period in another country can be challenging and rewarding - it can improve self-confidence and give you the chance to hone a variety of skills which are highly regarded by employers. This fair is a great opportunity to meet other students who have already benefited from studying abroad, and to talk to overseas students currently doing a placement here at UCL. The Study Abroad programme is just one of the ways that UCL prepares its students to become global citizens who are culturally aware, willing to embrace leadership, ambitious yet ethical and professionally mobile."

    The fair will take place in the South Cloisters from 5-7pm and is free to attend.

    UCL's International Office provides a number of additional services for students considering or preparing for a Study Abroad placement, including preparation guides, briefings and information sessions. It also coordinates UCL's exchange programmes and provides help and advice on issues such as financial support.
