UCL's engagement with London is showcased in a new London Higher publication.
'Social & Public Engagement by London's Universities and Higher Education Colleges' features case studies of:
- the Low Energy Victorian House, an eco-refurbishment that reduced carbon emissions from a house built in 1850 by 80%
- the UCL-Lancet Commission on Managing the Health Effects of Climate Change
- the UCL Volunteering Services Unit, which connects student volunteers with around 250 charitable organisations.
The publication seeks to demonstrate the contribution made by London universities and higher education colleges to their home town.
