  • The Higher Education London Outreach (HELO) programme, managed by UCL Advances, is looking for UCL students to work on short-term consultancy projects to support the small to medium-sized business sector in London.

HELO aims to provide real-life experiences and learning for students and academics in working with small and medium-sized businesses in London by offering short-term consultancy solutions. It is an excellent opportunity for students gain experience and work alongside a real business. The consultancy work is unpaid, but HELO will cover all the expenses. HELO also provides other opportunities for students with extra training and consultancy workshops.

Speaking at the Launch of the HELO project, Tim Barnes of UCL Advances commented: "We'll be working to identify issues within the community and give people access to support from a network of highly skilled people within these excellent institutions. This is about helping people to prosper and transform both themselves and their communities."

The HELO programme is currently working with about 50 organisations in various industries including software and engineering, consultancies, 3D technology, environmental and clean technology and the arts and creative sector.
