Event: Designing London's Olympic legacy

  • Grand Challenge of Sustainable Cities
  • UCL is hosting a discussion on the legacy of the Olympics called 'Growing a new piece of city: designing a legacy for 21st Century London'.

    This panel discussion will explore how the 2012 Games is altering the landscape of East London and what transformation means.

    Professor Matthew Gandy (UCL Geography), from the UCL Urban Laboratory, will chair the panel, which includes artist Lara Almarcegui and writer Iain Sinclair.

    The event - part of UCL's Grand Challenge of Sustainable Cities programme - will start at 6.30pm in the JZ Young Lecture Theatre on Tuesday 17 November.
