  • The Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine at UCL is hosting a workshop on the use of digital media for conferences, public outreach and teaching.

Professor Shigehisa Kuriyama from Harvard University will lead the workshop, which takes place at the JZ Young Lecture Theatre in UCL's Anatomy Building in Gower Street on 26 May.

The workshop provides a platform for discussing the opportunities, problems and challenges that digital media hold for the dissemination of ideas.

It will showcase digital media presentations on the history of medicine submitted by graduate students and university staff, who will present their own clips, and then reflect on their effectiveness, limitations and quality of the form. To see some examples of the clips they submitted, follow this link.

The panel of experts includes Professor Hal Cook (Director of The Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine), Ross MacFarlane (Wellcome Library) and Asher Tlalim (National Film and Television School).
