Seminar: Climate Change and the Megalopolis

UCL Environment Institute will be holding a seminar titled 'Climate Change and the Megalopolis' on Wednesday 21 January 2009. Speakers include:

  • Professor Sir Alan Wilson (UCL Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis)
  • Professor Mark Maslin (UCL Department of Geography and UCL Environment Institute)
  • Professor Michael Davies (UCL Bartlett School of Graduate Studies)
  • Professor Michael Batty (UCL Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis)

The seminar will be held in Room 301 at the Environment Institute, Pearson Building and will begin with an informal lunch at 1pm, followed by presentations and discussion at 2pm.The seminar forms part of an interdisciplinary series on 'Sustainability and the Megalopolis: Facing the Urban Realities of the 21st Century'. The seminars will focus on challenges of urban growth to issues such as health, security, culture and ecology.

All seminars will take place on Wednesday afternoons throughout the spring and summer terms.
