UCL is celebrating the International Year of Astronomy 2009 this month with a star-studded series of lectures and an exhibition.

Your Universe, which runs from Thursday 20 August to Sunday 23 August, is packed full of fascinating insights into everything from the search for extra-terrestrial life to what happens when galaxies collide.

The exhibition is aimed at families and will feature a magic planet projection, interactive exhibits where you can build a scale model of the solar system, and telescopes to peer at the Sun and the planet Venus.

The exhibition is free and open to all. Lectures are free of charge, but admittance is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information on the exhibits and the full lecture programme visit the Your Universe website.
