25 September 2008

The UCLU Drama Society is holding weekly drama workshops run by professional practitioners, starting 1 October.

UCLU Drama Society

Punchdrunk, Pickled Image and a practitioner from Shakespeare's Globe theatre are among the esteemed companies leading workshops in Term 1, as well as The Terrible Infants and Dead Man in a Box improvised comedy. The workshops will vary in subject from Shakespearean verse to physical theatre, and from improvised comedy and puppetry to more academic seminars.

This is the first time that the society has hired professionals for this purpose. Entry will be free for members of the Drama Society (membership costs £5 per year) and £2 per workshop for non-members.

The workshops will be held 4-6pm every Wednesday during term time in the CSC Rehearsal Room, UCL Bloomsbury theatre building, 15 Gordon Street.
