Drawing on Life
23 September 2008
On Saturday 27 September, UCL is hosting 'Drawing on Life' with the Wellcome Trust: a free, interactive festival that celebrates drawing and life, with the theme of exploring what it means to be human.
Cartoonists, fine artists, sculptors and scientists will run creative workshops, masterclasses and activities for all ages. The event will mark the launch of The Big Draw 2008, a month of drawing events across the country.
Some events require tickets, such as life drawing masterclasses and Professor Steve Jones talk on snails and art, but most are drop-in events. Highlights include renowned illustrator Steven Appleby drawing in response to the music of Nathan 'Flutebox' Lee, and drawing and singing workshops with Rhizome for Choir culminating in a major performance.
