UCL Study Abroad Fair
14 November 2008
Students thinking of studying abroad are inviting to this year's annual Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday 18 November.
The fair is aimed at students from non-language degrees who are taking part in, or considering taking part in, UCL's Study Abroad programme.
Antendees will have a chance to talk to returning Study Abroad students about their experiences, as well as to visiting students from partner institutions currently studying at UCL.
There will be lots of information and promotional materials from partners of UCL's Students Abroad programme, which helps UCL students find international study placements.
Most are placed through the European Commission-funded Erasmus programme, which promotes exchanges between European universities. It also supports departmental exchanges and international office exchanges with partner universities, as well as helping students secure independent study at approved institutions. Advice on work placements and English language teaching assistant opportunities is also available.
UCL's International Office provides a number of additional services for students considering or preparing for a Study Abroad placement, including preparation guides, briefings and information sessions. It also coordinates the exchange programme and provides help and advice on issues such as financial support.
The fair will take place at South Cloisters from 4 to 7pm.
