Christian Dustmann appointed director of major migration thinktank

  • Christian Dustmann, UCL Professor of Economics, has been appointed to the post of the International Programme Director of the New Opportunities for Research Funding Agency Co-operation in Europe (NORFACE) programme, 'Migration in Europe - Social, Economic and Policy Dynamics'.

    NORFACE is a partnership between 13 research councils (Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Sweden and the United Kingdom) working in the social sciences and supported by the European Research Area Networks scheme, to increase co-operation in research and research policy in Europe in the fields of social sciences.

    NORFACE has launched a call for proposals for the programme, which has total budget of about £18.2 million, while the directorship itself is tied to a £1.27m grant.
