UCL receives Saudi delegation

A delegation of academic leaders from Saudi Arabia - led by the Deputy Minister for Educational Affairs, Dr Mohammed Al Ohali - visited UCL on 23 January 2008.

The delegation, which included the rectors of four leading universities in Saudi Arabia, came to UCL to explore possible future collaborative links.

The group met with UCL President and Provost Professor Malcolm Grant, Professor Michael Worton, UCL Vice-Provost (Academic & International), Professor Vince Emery, UCL Pro-Provost for South Asia & the Middle East, and colleagues from UCL's International Office.

Following the meeting with the Provost and Vice-Provost, the delegation visited UCL Engineering Sciences to hear a presentation by Professor Izzat Darwazeh (UCL Electronic & Electrical Engineering) on recent research in electronics and telecommunications networks.
