Renowned Indian writer to give English lecture

Pankaj Mishra, a well-known Indian writer and journalist, and Visiting Fellow for 2007-08 at UCL English, will be discussing Indian literature in a lecture on Thursday 17 January.

Pankaj Mishra has written widely for the Indian and international press, and has published books on Indian literature and history.

His lecture, "National or Global?: The Strange Case of Indian Writing in English" will take place in the Lankester lecture theatre in the Medawar building, from 4.30 to 6pm. All UCL members are welcome to attend.
