UCL's Voluntary Services Unit (VSU) will be celebrating UCL students who volunteer on 28th February from 5-7pm in the Garden Room, Wilkins Building.

The VSU exists to encourage and support UCL students who volunteer in local projects, and to create a bridge between UCL and local communities. Last year, 420 students gave 12,600 hours in activities ranging across the volunteering sector - in environmental projects, science and language education programmes, with disabled and elderly people, in campaigning organisations and in community arts projects, and many more.

'A Celebration of Student Volunteering' is a chance to find out more about the work of the unit, how we can assist students, and how we connect with UCL's Global Citizenship agenda. There will be a buffet and drinks reception, and representatives from the VSU's community partners will be in attendance.

This event has been organised to mark National Student Volunteering Week.
