A brave semi-final effort today wasn't enough to propel UCL graduate Emily Freeman into the final eight of the women's 200m.
The twenty-seven-year-old graduated with a 2:1 Masters degree in Civil Engineering and worked as a structural engineer for three years before committing herself to a full-time athletics career in 2007.
It would have been a dream double for UCL, following Christine Ohurogo's 400m gold earlier in the week.
