The deadline for nominations this year's Abbey '1 UCL' Excellence/Endeavour Awards is 1 May 2008.

The awards, funded by Abbey, aim to foster the notion of UCL as a community, and to highlight, celebrate and reward 2007/08 UCL students at any level for outstanding achievement or endeavour in a non-academic field, such as sport, music, theatre, fundraising, volunteering, and mentoring, amongst others.

Each award consists of a donation of £1,000 to a single organisation of the awardholder's choice. Candidates may be nominated by UCL students or staff. Up to ten students receive an award under the scheme each year, with successful candidates notified in June 2008.
