21st century curation: Google and Microsoft

1 May 2007

Jens Redmer of Google and Mike Buschman of Microsoft will speak at UCL on Wednesday 2 May.

Jens Redmer is responsible for Google Book Search, working with academic, reference and trade publishers, and Google's News Archive Search project, in collaboration with newspaper and magazine publishers.

Mike Buschman, technical evangelist for Microsoft's Live Search Selection, will describe the corporation's library digitisation effort, and its future direction.

The lecture is free. It will take place from 6-7.15pm in the Chadwick lecture theatre, and will be followed by a reception.

The event is organised by the UCL School of Library, Archive & Information Studies, and is one of a series of public lectures focusing on curation in the 21st century.
