MRC Roadshow

UCL will host a Medical Research Council  (MRC) roadshow on 26 April 2007.

The UCL event is one of a series of roadshows held at universities throughout the UK and is designed to solicit feedback from researchers on MRC funding schemes; provide an update on MRC input into the Government's 2007 Comprehensive Spending Review; and to discuss the outcome of Sir David Cooksey's review of UK health research funding.

The roadshow is an excellent opportunity for anyone with an interest in MRC funding and strategy, and is open to academics, students, contract researchers and administrators. It will take place from 2.30-5.30pm in the Darwin Lecture Theatre and will include presentations from Professor Colin Blakemore, Chief Executive of the MRC; UCL staff; and speakers from some of UCL's neighbouring universities, together with Q&As and refreshments.
