UCL Institute of Nuclear Medicine opening

28 February 2007

The UCL Institute of Nuclear Medicine formally opened its new facilities at University College Hospital (UCLH) on 28 February 2007.

The event was followed by a celebratory dinner at the Wallace Collection.

UCL has been a world leader in nuclear medicine for over 40 years, and the institute is now led by Professor Peter Ell.

Nuclear medicine takes advantage of increasingly powerful non-invasive imaging technologies to assist in diagnosis and in treatment. The technology is developing rapidly, and the new UCLH clinical suite has state-of-the art equipment.
