Can science secure our skies?

Angela Sasse, Professor of Human-Centred Technology at UCL Computer Science, will speak at an event discussing and demonstrating new technologies in airport security on Tuesday 1 May.
Biometric readers, body scanners and 3D baggage scanners will likely be installed in airports in the near future to protect travellers, but significant questions remain as to how and whether they will work.
Professor Sasse will be joined by the director of an identity technology company and a travel journalist, and the audience will have the opportunity to try out the emerging systems.
The event will be held at the Dana Centre, SW7, 7-8.30pm. Entrance is free but ticketed.
