The UCL Faculty of Mathematical & Physical Sciences is holding a speed-dating event on Wednesday 25 October, with the aim of fostering not romance, but research collaboration.

The event aims to bring together researchers of all levels and all departments in the hope that interesting collaborative ideas can take root. As well as providing a great opportunity to develop new research ideas, it will provide an excellent snapshot of the research being carried out across the faculty, and a chance for participants to discuss their work with researchers of all backgrounds and levels of experience, from PhDs to professors.

As an incentive, Executive Dean Professor David Price (UCL Earth Sciences) is offering £1,000 to help kick-start the most interesting research idea to emerge from the event.

The event, organised by Professor Louise Harra (UCL Space & Climate Physics), follows a university-wide speed-dating session held last December.

The Mathematical & Physical Sciences speed-dating event will take place between 3pm and 5.30 pm on Wednesday 25 October, in the Old Refectory. Please register online if you are interested in attending.
