Framed at the UCL Slade School
24 March 2006
An event organised by the UCL Slade School from 23-25 March 2006 marks the 10th anniversary of the UCL Slade Centre for Electronic Media.
'framed' is a performance event/showcase, taking place in the new UCL Slade Research Centre in Woburn Square at the end of March 2006 to coincide with the NODE.London season for media.
From works exploring transmission, networking and time to palm pilot drawings, sound performances and experimental works developed in collaboration with UCL's virtual reality environment (CAVE) exploring physiological input devices, 'framed' is intended to provide a snapshot of the broad range of interests, exploration and investigations in the area.
The event includes a range of work and approaches, including existing and new work as well as works-in-progress by students, artists and researchers working in an investigative way with new media. Participants include Martin Callanan, Susan Collins, Simon Faithfull, Tim Head, Thomson Craighead and Eli Zafran among others.
A full list of participants, projects and schedule of events and map with where to find us will be posted and updated on the scemfa site. To be added to the scemfa mailing list, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
